“To Honor, Preserve, and Promote the Rich Music Heritage of the Past, Present, and Future.”
We’re Moving Home!
The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Museum is now officially closed at our temporary Civic Center location as we begin packing and preparing for our move back to our beautifully renovated Frisco Depot.
This is an exciting milestone, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to the place where Oklahoma’s incredible music story is celebrated and preserved.
Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we share behind-the-scenes updates, sneak peeks, and details about our grand reopening. We have so much to share, and we can’t wait to welcome you home.
Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and continued support throughout this journey. The next chapter is almost here!
Welcome to the new, live Merle Haggard “Hag Cam!”
The beautiful bronze statue created by Sculptor Benjamin Victor is located at the Muskogee Civic Center, 425 S. Boston St., where on October 10, 1969, Merle Haggard performed an iconic show and was inspired to write the hit song “Okie from Muskogee!”

More than 100 of the world’s most famous musicians, artists and songwriters have the distinct honor of being inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. It’s fitting that this relatively small state serves as home for the Music Hall of Fame. Why? Oklahoma’s roots are firmly planted in rich musical history, and the state has produced dozens of notable talents whose gifts and musical styles are as breathtaking and diverse as the Oklahoma landscape.
